Google Fusion Tables Practice

Standard

Today we’re taking a brief break from food.

Don’t worry, we’ll go back there soon!

In Multimedia, we’ve been experimenting with making intensity maps (called Choropleth maps by the fancier folks) in Google Fusion Tables.

It’s basically a really cool way to show complex numbers and data in a simple way.

Below, you’ll find an exercise we did in class. The map shows the combined percentages of state and local sales tax for the United States.

I thought it was pretty cool. Now, I’m just a little miffed that we’ve got such high sales tax.

I should obviously move to Florida. Gotta stay in the South!
